We identify the target depth.
For deep heat that hands and hot packs cannot reach: sound waves that improve tissue extensibility before we move a joint.
What It Is
Therapeutic ultrasound uses sound waves to deliver heat to tissue deeper than hands or a hot pack can reach, which can improve tissue extensibility before we move a joint.
A wand and gel move over the area for a few minutes. You will feel warmth and nothing else.
We use it selectively, where the evidence supports it, and never as filler to pad out a visit. If it is not the right tool we will say so.
Always optional, never sprung on you
What It Helps
If a muscle feels locked no matter what you do, there’s a good chance a trigger point is the reason.

Pairs Well With
Questions, Answered
No. You feel gentle warmth and the movement of the wand.
For some presentations it helps and for many it adds nothing, and the research says so. We use it where it fits and skip it where it does not.
It depends on your plan: ultrasound is coded differently than a standard PT visit, and insurers don’t all treat it the same way. We verify your exact benefits before your first session, so there’s no surprise on your bill. Questions before then? Call us at (702) 876-9737.
