Dr. Adam Plausinaitis
DPT
Adam holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Melbourne in Australia. He began his physical therapy journey as a longtime resident of New York City. After graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Psychology from the City University of New York, Adam volunteered at Newton Memorial Hospital in New Jersey. There he discovered his passion for physical therapy and how vital it is in helping patients requiring both acute and long term care.
Treating patients from all walks of life, Adam loves to work with patients to relieve their lower back and neck pain. As someone who previously experienced recurring neck pain, Adam has a particular interest in neck pain and how it relates to the shoulder.
In addition to training in McKenzie spine technique, Lyn Watson shoulder therapy, sacroiliac joint pain, and rib dysfunction, he holds the highest certification in Clinical Pilates from DMA Australia. Adam seamlessly integrates exercise rehabilitation with hands-on manual therapy to ensure the best possible outcome.
Throughout their treatment journey, Adam educates and supports his patients by establishing effective self-management strategies. His patients feel empowered and confident that they have both a plan and the knowledge with which to achieve their individual goals.
As well as being an avid gym devotee, Adam spends his spare time going to see live music and playing his guitar.
He is registered to practice physical therapy in both the United States and Australia.
